Today I came in at one o’clock and being the fourth of July the course was quite busy throughout the day. We had several tee times filled up from one o’clock until three o’clock, then even after three o’clock we had a steady amount of open play until about five o’clock. We also had a good amount of open play today of people that do not usually come out to the course. Today we had a fair share of families that decided to come out and have a family golf outing before the fireworks. I also had a gentleman who came in wanting to pay for a half-year membership, so I was able to get everything set up for his membership, putting him into the system. After that we started to slow down for the day, only having a couple of people come out for the rest of the day. Then by about 8:30 the last group came in for the night and I was able to close up for the night.

Today, like yesterday was another busy day at the golf course, having a rather full tee sheet once again. I came in again at one o’clock today, it was once again busy, having several foursomes on white finishing their round and having a group on every hole on our blue course, who still had to make the turn. Things were pretty busy the rest of the afternoon having several groups come in for the first few hours of my shift. Finally, by about 6:30 we started to see the course quiet down a bit, having most groups finish up their rounds by then and we did not see too many people coming in at this point. I had a gentleman come in who wanted his putter re-gripped, so I was able to do that for him which he was happy that he didn’t have to come back later to pick it up. Like I said earlier, things quieted down on the course around 6:30, only having a couple of groups that were still out there. Then by about 8:30 we had the last group come in and I was then able to lock up and close for the night.
Today I came in at one o’clock after have a rather busy morning, not having an open tee time from nine o’clock until about noon. Being a Saturday and holiday weekend I was not surprised by this at all, since the fourth of July weekend is busy every year. We had a rather steady amount of open play for the rest of the afternoon, still having well over thirty people on the course at five o’clock. We also had quite a few phone calls asking to make tee times for the next day, Sunday the second. Today we also sold more merchandise from the pro shop than usual, having sold a couple of hats and several dozen golf balls. Today was one of those days that it was pretty busy all day, but things in the afternoon did not get out of control busy while I was managing things. Then by about 8:45 we had the last group come in for the night, so I was able to lock everything and close up for the night, ready for another busy day tomorrow.
Once the kids league ended it was pretty close to three o’clock which is the time that my shift was supposed to start on Mondays, so I started a little earlier than usual. Today I picked up an extra shift for a co-worker since I do not usually work Monday nights. Mondays we have just one small league, the Ladies League which has seven teams in it, being fourteen women all together for the league. The ladies were on our blue course tonight, officially teeing off at four o’clock, but like usual all the ladies were here early and the last group teed off at 3:45. We had all of our leagues participants show up tonight, and luckily they were able to get their nine holes in before any of the rain came in. The last group came in at about 5:30, then shortly after that it poured rain for the next half hour or so and after that we did not see much business, just a threesome and a twosome both playing nine holes. Then once they came in after their round I decided to close up for the night.
Today I came in early once again for my boss, coming in at eleven o'clock and today we had a good amount of business from eleven o'clock until two o'clock having only a few open tee times in that span of three hours. So I had to manage people and make sure that they were all going in the direction and keeping up with the pace of play. Then by about three o'clock business slowed down a bit, and we had a gentleman come in who needed a couple of clubs re-gripped, which I was more than happy to do that for him. We also had a foursome that was misbehaving on the course so I had to go out and talk to them about our course rules. They were not too pleased to have me tell them that, but a few of them were also intoxicated, so I had to deal with rather rude customers. But that happens occasionally, where people will not be happy with our service for them and thats just part of the business. After they finished I had a few groups that were still finishing their rounds and once they were done I was able to close up for the night.
Today I came in at two o'clock like usual on Fridays and we had a decent amount of business in the morning and by about two most of the groups from mid-morning were finishing up their rounds. So most of the business that I had today was came in between four and seven o'clock since most people are still at work on Fridays until about five o'clock for most people. Then we saw a fair amount of business for the rest of the day having a few foursomes and several twosomes come out to golf. I also had a man come in that needed a club re-gripped, so I installed that for him and had that done for him after a couple of minutes. Other than that we had a very regular day of business at the golf course today and by about eight o'clock I was able to lock up everything and close for the night.
Today I came in early once again, my boss needed me to come in at eleven o'clock and today when I first came in we had a decent amount of business, having no open tee times until until about 12:15. We had a fairly steady amount of business for the rest of the afternoon from about two o'clock and five o'clock. We had the four-man best ball today for our members today having five teams that participated in the event. So we had 20 of our members who participated in the event all together and I had to post their scores onto the official scoreboard. Then after the best ball event the course quieted down somewhat, having fairly steady business for the rest of the night. We also had a fair amount of people who made tee times for either tomorrow or for sometime in the next week. Then by about eight o'clock we had the last group come in so I was then able to close up for the night.
Today I came in at two o'clock and we had the YMCA Golf Outing that was this morning. They had nine teams that participated in the outing, each team starting out on a hole on our white course, then moving onto the blue course for the back nine. They finished up at around 2:30 to about three o'clock having eighteen carts that needed taken care of and organized properly. Then after the outing had all came in we had a decent amount of open play, having four foursomes, a few twosomes and several single players out on the course for the rest of the evening. I also went to our banquet hall and cleaned off all the tables after the golf outing and took out any trash that needed taking out. Today was a usual day of business, having a decent amount of open play, made a few tee times throughout the day and closed up at about eight o'clock.
Today I came into work at three o'clock and tonight being Wednesday we had the VFW League tonight that teed off at 4:30. The VFW league has two divisions that play, each with twenty teams or forty players. So we have 80 total participants in the league on Wednesdays and today we ended up having a 36 teams that showed up for the league tonight, with the last four teams must not have been able to make it due to work or having other plans. We had division one of the VFW go off on the white tonight and the second division going off of the red course. The last group went off at about 5:15 for the league, so by about 7:30 we had the last group from the VFW league come in, and other than that we had just a couple of other groups that came out for open play. Then after the last few groups came in from open play we were able to close up by about 8:30.
Today my boss asked me to come in earlier than usual, having me come in at eleven o'clock instead of one. Today we had the St. Joe Basketball Outing which had 64 total participants in the outing. We had the outing go out at for a shotgun start at 9:30 in the morning, with each group starting on a hole of either our blue or white course. We had sixteen groups which we sent out to our blue and white courses, leaving just the red course open for open play and tee times. While having the outing we had four groups that played 18 holes that had to play our red course twice, which most people did not mind doing. Then after the outing we had to manage 32 carts organizing them accordingly. After we took care of everyone in the outing we then had a fair amount of open play, having a few foursomes come out in the afternoon keeping the course fairly busy. Then by about eight o'clock the last group came in for the night, so I then closed up the course for the evening.
